Q. How does buying discount gift cards through Voucha work?
Buying discount gift cards through Voucha is simple and will save you lots of money! Most of the gift cards listed on the Voucha marketplace are sourced from third-parties who no longer want them. Our members are able to buy them at a price well below the value of the gift card. We save you typically between 10% to 30%.
Q. What is the difference between a physical gift card, an eGift Card and a printable eVoucher?
Physical Cards: These are the standard gift card you would generally purchase from the store and redeemed in-store.
eGift Cards: These are digital cards which you can generally redeem online.
Printable eVoucher: These are delivered electronically to you and can generally only be redeemed in-store.
Each retailer has different rules, so always check the retailers’ gift card terms and conditions to see how they can be redeemed.
Q. Why do I see different prices for the same gift card?
Each of the gift cards sold through Voucha have been sourced from different sellers at different prices and as such, we will price them differently. Remember that most deals get snapped up quickly, so if you see a great bargain, get onto it!
Q. Does Voucha own the gift cards that are being sold on the marketplace?
Mostly. From time to time we may run deals where retailers run their promotions through our marketplace. We are constantly working with retailers to bring you the best deals.
Q. Are there limitations on how many gift cards I can buy?
Yes, our members are limited to purchase a maximum of $10,000 worth of gift cards a day. We may also impose limitations on the quantity and frequency of purchases. For security purposes we may impose further limitations from time to time.
Q. Can I buy a gift card if I am outside of Australia?
No, currently we are only servicing the Australian market.
Q. Does Voucha charge any fees for buying a gift card?
Yes, if a purchase is under $100 in value we will impose a postage cost (where we have to post you a physical gift card). Otherwise there are no fees.
Q. What payment options do you offer?
At the moment you can purchase a gift card with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express. We are hoping to introduce other payment options in the near future.
Q. How long does it take to receive my gift card?
This will depend on the type of gift card you purchase. eGift cards and printable eVouchers are generally delivered to your email instantly. Physical gift cards are delivered within 3 – 10 business days of purchase. If there has been a delay or your gift card has not arrived, then please contact us and we will investigate with high priority.
Q. Can I cancel an order?
Once you submit an order, you cannot cancel it. For security reasons, if a gift card has a valid balance, we cannot refund you for the purchase. You should note that for 90 days after purchase, we will refund you where:
(a) the Gift Card is not active;
(b) the Gift Card has an inaccurate balance or expiry date;
(c) the Gift Card delivered was for a different brand than ordered; or
(d) the physical Gift Card was not received within 30 days from the date of purchase.
Please refer to our terms of use for full details regarding refunds and cancellations.
Q. How do you protect me against fraud?
We use a range of risk mitigation and fraud prevention procedures to verify every card sold through our website. We closely monitor user activity in order to reduce instances of fraud and protect our members. Where a gift card is not genuine or its balance or expiry date is different to what we have specified, then you are able to obtain a refund in accordance with our terms of use. Please refer to our terms of use for more information.
Q. How do I sell my gift card?
Simply log into your Voucha account and provide us with the:
Retailer’s name;
Gift card’s value (i.e. the balance on the gift card);
Expiry date; and
Gift card type (i.e. physical, eGift Card and a printable eVoucher)
You should note that we only currently accept gift cards that have not been used (i.e. have their full initial balance). If you have a gift card that has been used, then please do not list it.
Once you submit this information, we will email you with a price for which we are willing to buy the gift card from you. If you accept this price, then we will review the gift card to ensure that the details match and if so, we will remit payment to you.
Q. What types of gift cards do you accept?
We accept gift cards from most retailers and restaurants. All gift cards must have:
A balance of between $10 – $1,000; and
An expiry date of less than 6 months from date you submit the gift card details to us.
You should note that we only currently accept gift cards that have not been used (i.e. have their full initial balance). If you have a gift card that has been used, then please do not list it.
If you wish to inquire about whether your gift card is suitable for sale, then please contact us.
Q. How much does Voucha typically pay for a gift card?
The amount paid will generally depend on who the retailer is, how long the expiry date is and how much balance is on the gift card. We typically pay out between 70% – 90% of the card value.
Q. What do I do if I am not happy with the buy price given to me by Voucha?
Let us know! We are always happy to reassess a buy price. The worst thing that could happen is that we stick to our guns and don’t change the offer.
Q. What are my payout options?
We current pay sellers by bank transfer or PayPal. Remember that the account we make payment to must be in your name – we do not make payments to third-parties.
Q. Are there any fees associated with selling my gift card?
It is free to sell your gift card. However, we will offer you a buy price that is less than the value of the gift card. So in other words, you will never pay dollar for dollar. If you do post the Gift Card to us (in the case of a physical gift card), then we will reimburse you for the postage costs, up to a maximum of $1. If your postage costs are greater than $1, then you shall bare that additional cost.
Q. Can I resell a gift card in the marketplace that has previously been purchased through Voucha?
No, currently we do not allow this. If you have purchased a gift card through Voucha, then do not resell it on Voucha.
Q. Why are you asking for my identification documents or details?
We do this to make Voucha more secure. As part of our verification process, we may require you to provide additional identification information or documentation, including, without limitation, a copy of a valid driver license (and/or another form of identification) prior to us making any payment to you.
Q. How does Voucha keep its sellers accountable for fraudulent activity?
All sellers are responsible for providing accurate information when they sell their gift card to us. If the brand, balance, expiry date or any other information you provide us in respect to the gift card is incorrect, then you will be liable for the full value of the gift card plus any associated costs.
Beware: If you use Voucha to conduct fraudulent activity then you will be reported to the police and we will take recovery action against you for any losses we or our members have incurred. Consider this your first and last warning.

If your account has been suspended and you wish to find out more information, then you should contact us. If you believe we have suspended it in error, then we will happily investigate.
Q. How do I use my gift card?
